I've used sharelatex when collaborating on a small paper. It's REALLY useful to live-edit a latex document in parallel with other people, and see changes live. The chat being able to embed latex is super useful. Besides that, thou

Google is also a member of the OpenPOWER Foundation (though they've done much more with that). I don't think sponsorship is necessarily endorsement or deployment plans -- it'd be nice if that were the case though!

Cool, thanks for sharing your viewpoint! I also very much enjoy SML and SML-like languages :)

I see, I hadn't made that obvious connection -- it's right in the name! (been awake for ~28 hours) That's much nicer. This is the first I've seen that header, it's good to know it exists -- I've implemented it

It'd be neat if you implemented PGP encryption of messages to a designated keyid.

Nothing about the POWER8 or IBM's process technology implies unbackdoored. I can't inspect the factories, or their supply chain, or the HDL they used, or the tools that processed the HDL. The only thing more "open" about

HPKP will accept if any of the fingerprints match -- I was wondering how I could transition certificates when using it, and hadn't noticed that fact. So to transition to a new certificate, specify the fingerprint of the old AND new c

I agree, I love these sorts of things because they make it easy to learn what you don't know. On the other hand, assigning an order based on an analysis like this can be interpreted wrongly, which I find annoying.
