DKIM in no way helps to get past the cartels' "reputation" filters. I send maybe one email every few months to microsoft accounts & it's always received as spam. My server setup & ip have been solid for a decade.

Perhaps this is all true in your country, but not mine. I used to regularly take photos of cops abusing the system. I even once followed a cop going well above the speed limit when their lights weren't flashing. 20km down the road I ev

It's rather trivial to write your own specialised form of array management, that is both easier to read & debug & also produces less bloat. I've worked at several places where std:: is verboten. Only some of the people com

It'd be really great to be able to know what's in the docker black box. It'd be even better to be able to know what the moving parts are for those of us that do self hosting sysadmin style. My VMs are too small for docker...

I'm trying to understand the implications of this thing. Please forgive my ignorance. So, a DPU (data progressing unit) is basically a daughter board that has multiple CPUs, big network, modest RAM, but also NVMe capabilities? There&#x

Engineers typically get paid less than developers. I used to joke back in the 90's and 00's (&still kind of do) that I'd quit and become a DBA (typically 2-3x salary). I look around at the 6 figure web dev jobs and it hon

I thought i'd missed something and Apple Maps was now available on non-Apple platforms. Sadly, it's still iOS and macOS only. The top search results all suggest using DDG and using the maps option there, which apparently uses Appl

Not exactly true. Most people would infrequently use the buttons, but when they do, you can be sure they want it that way. I would suggest that the big reason not to go down the avenue of social buttons is the inevitable gamification of

The problem could also be said to start with software. Particularly Apple and Google for allowing specific location information to be used in the same app as advertising. The problem is that all apps are granted access to the internet.
