Semi-unrelated, am I the only one astounded at how effective Google was in making the Blogger reading experience as terrible as it could be? http://cl.ly/HaPS Weird layouts, loading screens, horrible gesture-based interface for touch devi

Course, the user will see it as your site that crashes the browser. Probably can't be good for conversions.

What are they? I've heard nothing from Microsoft aside from the fact that it's a cosmetic update on the start screen. Big deal.

I think he/she is talking about the screenshots of the new start screen that accompanied the announcement. Personally, I love the current WP7 and I thought that the new screen ditched a lot of the simplicity and looked very busy and unattra

Because he's talking about the capabilities (what app developers are able to do to your home screen) of each platform.

Maybe it's just me, but I liked the simplicity of the Windows Phone 7 start menu. I hope that's not compromised in the new start menu - it looks a little busy.

God, I remember seeing that site years ago. Blast from the past.

Heh, obviously you've never used Tumblr before. Tons of people that I follow learn basic HTML and CSS by customizing their blog's theme, and the end result is insanely creative and unique blog layouts. Not only that, but a lot of the conten

Wow, that looks amazing. Forgive my ignorance (I don't use external displays with my MBP), but how is this done? Does each display connect to the next display with Thunderbolt daisy chaining?

I love when sites tell Safari to not let me zoom and then overflow their content past the bounds of the viewport. Saves me time because I can leave the site and never come back.

Absolutely they would. Plenty of Android devices are left in limbo waiting for the upgrade, or aren't given at all.

Legacy devices means devices from 3-4 years ago for Apple. If I buy a Windows phone today, it won't run the next major version of the OS. I'm just glad I didn't buy a Lumia 900 when my upgrade became available like I planned to.

Your Air can't run Portal 2? Which model is it? (I'm not doubting you, I'm genuinely surprised. Glad I opted to get the Retina MBP, I'd hate to lose my games.)

This actually isn't true. One can easily remove the "autopublish" package to disable the behavior of publishing all data to the client, and selectively publish only certain records to the client. Then, all client-side database modification

I don't know why I would ever switch from Chrome or Safari to Opera. On a Mac, Opera still has text rendering issues ( http://imgur.com/a/9bK1j ), scrolling stutters, and there's a noticeable difference in page load speed (Opera is much slo

It looks nice, I like the simplicity. One nit pick: I'm not too fond of the flash notices. Fading out and then suddenly being removed from the document, causing all content below it to jump up, is slightly jarring IMHO.

Debit cards carry reversal rights as well - at least in the United States. It's simply a mechanism to protect credit and debit card holders against technical issues, quality issues, fraud, etc.

You can still press "don't have your phone?" and send a code through SMS, unless there's a way to disable that.
