I think the wording he used in the announcement was bad. I think it's fairly universally agreed upon that neutrality and avoidance of conflict of interest are key tenants of Wikipedia, and are certainly things that an administrator of

I'm continually amazed at how people can't understand this. You have a right to not have your free speech stifled by the government, but that has nothing to do with what a private corporation decides to let you do with their produ

I'd say that discrete mathematics does the best job of explaining and crossing over with Computer Science and programming. Not necessary to build a CRUD app, but perhaps necessary or at least very helpful for anything less trivial.

I mean come on, I'm not expecting 12 years of backwards compatibility, I'm just saying that maybe one of their hardware engineers might have said: "Gee, is it possible that we might develop a new cover next year that needs po

Maybe they'll force manufacturers to use that hideous new USB 3.0 Micro-B standard. Personally, I'd much rather use a great connector designed by someone at Apple (such as Lightning, MagSafe, etc.) than one chosen by a bureaucrat.

Did they seriously not have the foresight or product planning to know that they might want to create covers like this in the future? That's such a weak excuse. It's not like the Surface RT came out four years ago, it was the end o

How is that at all like this? Apple doesn't drop support for their devices after a year, plain and simple, and that's what Microsoft has done here. If there's a genuine "hardware limitation" that prevented them from

I suppose that means 7.1 won't be released until they've fixed it. It's so unimaginably stupid that they didn't wait until 7.1 was released so that the general public could get the bug fixes and performance improvements

No need to buy a new device if you don't want to upgrade because you don't think iOS 7 will work well on yours. iOS 6 still works, and it's possible to download an older version of an app if the latest version isn't comp

That's the "Fork" step he mentioned. The "Edit" button on GitHub automatically forks the project and dumps you into the Markdown editor. The rest of the steps are still required to get changes merged into a file.
