End of The Rustup? AFAICS, it's still downloading a very specific servo-only rustc.

It's great that Raph's line-breaking code has been reused, but in contrast to Mozilla projects any contribution to it will now require assigning copyright to Google (like Ubuntu or Microsoft's CLA require as well). At least i

Interesting, but I was thinking more of something like "update installed binaries with latest version from index". This doesn't look like it.

But it sounds like that's what's going on. Using foo-1.1 in bar.rs and foo-2.2 in rabbit.rs.

I see there is `cargo install` which will fetch and build an executable from crates.io, is there no `cargo update` for `install`?

Reminds of the time when I wanted to get a license for a piece of software and they only offered training courses for teams coupled with a software license. I chalked it off as being outside their customer target group.

I use IPS and VA panels, but I wouldn't be able to tell what panels it was when I had the bad experience. I'll try it again, but not every IPS or VA panel is good either.

What type of panels and implementations (monitors sold) work well in portrait mode? I've tried it once and I saw an odd pattern that wasn't very comfortable to look at.

Yeah I think Pinterest and/or Esty were using GraphicsMagick extensively according to some technical presentation or blog post I've read a while back.

Not sure why this got downvoted, but I seriously don't remember the name of the second site which used Graphicsmagick extensively in production on a web facing service.

If it were 100% wide on 4K, how would your eyes scan the text? It's useful for illustrations (graphics), but I haven't met a person yet who can read wide text as efficiently as one or more narrow columns.

Off-topic but given how many programs link against OpenSSL and that in some scenarios statically linked binaries are preferable, I've been wondering if there's a Linux distro that works like OCaml's opam, namely rebuilding ev

I've been using GraphicsMagick for a while now. Is that also affected or is it just waiting to be checked for the same bugs?

In what way does a centralized server prevent spam? You'll only receive messages after you've accepted the contact request, so the worst that can happen is contact request spam.

You can monetize a fancy client that's commercial. You can monetize hosting Mumble servers. Decentralized services are much harder, but at some point we have to prefer them and use federation as a means to have something like a global

It's easier to force a company to block access in a certain country, but if you run the servers or there are various parties hosting it for you, you have a higher chance of still using it. But, that might of course require disobedience
