The worst is not calls, it is the thousands of zombies hooked up on tiktok 24/7, of course with headphones, so completely unaware and indifferent to their environment, who block tunnels, escalators, turnstiles, etc.

Russia I presume is on the list because of geopolitical tensions. I am not familiar with every country in that list but in my experience, what looks like an anomaly is Morocco, which produces a fairly large elite compared to the size of the

My guess is they view India as producing an elite immigration (i.e. net tax paying) in large numbers. It is stunning how many successful tech or non-tech executives are Indian born. I haven't seen the full list but I doubt any country

Not trying to back the AI hype, but most pre-AI auto generated code is garbage (like winform auto generated code or entity framework SQL in the .net world). But that’s fine, it’s not meant to be read by humans. If you want to change it you

So the US did the right thing for the wrong reasons and therefore it is bad? (not that I even agree with your premise). Also I presume that it is not OK for the US to have its say on who stays in power in Venezuela, but it's OK for Cub

Hum hum... Bombing of Libya. Support for ISIS against Al Assad in Syria. Doesn't make what happened today right, but it is pretty myopic to see this as unique to Trump or unprecedented.

Don't think the problem is 64 vs 128. I don't think the problem is end users either, the vast majority of which don't even know what the IP protocol is in the first place (nor should they). The fault I think is on ISPs. I use

Yeah but the digital ID could be the 64bit suffix of the IP. Kind of like that horrendous and moronic idea of using the MAC address as the suffix.

I know that attributing to western countries the responsability for any bad thing happening in this world is a common reflex, but we are 30 years after the handover, 40 years after the negotiation, so surely China bears some if not pretty m

I think you are right, I had the LC III and Performa 630 specifically in mind. For some reason I remember they were 30Hz but everthing I find googling it suggest they were 66Hz (both video card and screen refresh). That being said they were

You assume that non interlaced computer screens in the mid 90s were 60Hz. I wish they were. I was using Apple displays and those were definitely 30Hz.

That's not the point the video makes. Flock didn't invent CCTV. Not that I am trying to defend mass surveillance or incompetent silicon valley companies.

The irony is that most of those who downvote didn't spend hours in front of those screens as I did. And I do remember these things were tiring, particularly in the dark. And the worst of all were computer CRT screens, that weren't

Yes and no. Half of the screen was refreshing at a time, so it was really flashing at 30Hz. You still had a visible stroboscopic effect. True 60Hz and 100Hz screen appeared in the late 90s and made a visible difference in term of comfort of

A lot of those CRT screens had a pretty low refresh frequency, you were basically sitting in front of a giant stroboscope. That was particular bad for computer screens where you were sitting right in front of them. I think they pretty much
