Series C or later is what I've typically seen, and I'm not talking market rate for "Big Co CEO", i.e. I doubt any VC would be comfortable with a portfolio company CEO taking home over $600k/yr regardless of stage.

Cloud infrastructure, the Go programming language, Kubernetes. Now of course your definition of "change the world" comes into play here, but it certainly hasn't just been advertising and acquisitions.

I think very few would actually collapse in a seriously negative way. The majority would evolve and adapt.

You can get a 3 bedroom SFH in Noe Valley for under $4m. Outer Sunset for under $2.5m. I'd be hard pressed to find any family that would ever want to buy a new condo anywhere near downtown SF - that's a very particular type of buy

High density is not desirable to affluent families when the alternative could be a 3,000sqft single family home with a sizeable backyard in San Francisco, and these people tend to make the rules.

Easier said than done, especially after the age of 30. Have lost touch with most friends from college as people invariably pair up and move off to different parts of the country, start families, get busier at work, etc. Making new friends a

Genuinely curious, if you're based in the US, why do you choose to spend your BTC as money? Why not spend your USD instead (for the computer parts that you mentioned in another comment)?

I'm seeing Node all over the enterprise world at this point - hard to imagine it getting replaced already. Maybe newer startups aren't adopting it as readily, but I think it's pretty well established in big businesses now.

I think the fact that they're grouped logically is enough, for the most part. It seems widely acknowledged that alcohol is not good for you, but there is a psychological distinction between doing shots at your local dive bar and a gl

People who are really into spin classes do not lack motivation to exercise - they're in it for the classes - this is where people who equate Peloton to a stationary bike are completely missing the point. The classes are the point. Th

Right, but that just makes Peloton even more attractive because now I don't even have to go to a gym, and I can take classes anytime I want in the comfort of my own home on my own schedule.

Specifically for the bike, if you're a "spin class person", then you're used to spending $20-40 per class - $40 for a month of unlimited classes with the best instructors in the business seems like a steal in compariso
