I mean you can download it and give it a try! For BitCraft we scale it with IMC (inter-module communication). It works very similarly to Elixir.

It solves 3 problems: 1. Server <> client sync is handled for you 2. Server <> database sync is eliminated 3. Deployment is super easy because you just upload your wasm module to the database, and SpacetimeDB schedules it (simil

Just to copy in my response from there too: I'm Tyler (guy in the video). In BitCraft we currently implement client-side prediction outside of SpacetimeDB. However, we DO plan to add automatic client-side prediction as a feature for Sp

We are currently working on IMC (inter-module communication) which allows the database modules to act like persistent actors. They can pass messages between databases and create new databases as well. It's similar to Erlang/BEAM.

Mutations through SQL are disallowed for clients. They must update state via "reducers" (aka RPC calls to the Wasm module).

Definitely something we're looking to tackle in the near future. Lag-compensation, client-side prediction, and alternative transport layers are all in the works!

We have this document: https://spacetimedb.com/docs/how-to/incremental-migrations We also plan to allow you do apply migrations when you publish your module, but that is not yet released.

SpacetimeDB is one such database. It has the concept of an `Identity` which is just a 256 bit unique identifier for a connected user.

This is of course what SpacetimeDB does. The stored procedures fail any transactions that are not authorized to be carried out. e.g. if a player is not high enough level or something.

We just released v0.7.0-beta of SpacetimeDB. SpacetimeDB combines your application server and database into a single service. You can write your application logic as WebAssembly stored procedures which are uploaded into your database, allow

You can use SpacetimeDB as an embedded library as well. It depends on how you want to use it. sqlite doesn't really provide you a way to have replicas of your data or manage the data across multiple machines. It's complicated, but

Absolutely. This was the original reason that we built this system. We found that we could get much much better performance when dealing with persistent data by putting the logic in the same process as the system which persists the data.

It's not based on sqlite. We have a custom database engine which we needed for performance reasons for BitCraft. We need to be able to control very carefully what is done in memory vs on disk so that we can manage latency for games and

There is no lesser GPLv2.0, you need a custom linking exception there too.
