Cannot edit any more, but it is important to clear this up. Apparently the repo did not vanish, it was deleted by a member of the team, who decided to keep silent about it for some reason. Tip - there is a "deleted repos" section

You are right. I have a hunch. In the local repo there is a file that was was probably produced by running wget github.com im the repo directory. Unsure what it was meant to achieve, but accidentally pushed, it may have flagged the repo dow

All of GH improvements have become irrelevant for me since they vanished one of our repos. No notification, no warning, no recourse. Just gonsky. It was just a simple library we wrote to talk to a public IP2Country REST service. Pushed to G

This is like a self-administered "slow lori attack" then - making it easier for an attacker to keep connections up until things start getting tight on port 443.

No other programming language has cost me that much time, figuring out vendoring for a few dependencies. The v2 story is just broken. It is nice to have a possibility to have multiple versions of the same package in this 0.1% of projects. T

This timeout issue is indeed baffling. I believe many Go services out there may have set their timeouts to something ridiculous like 3600 or 86400 as a "fix". Hello slow lori. Another concern is that the lifetime of a PHP app is r

Absolutely, having a service that just listens on port 80 is so much simpler to reason about. I would also add a much easier development setup, as well as deployment to your list of advantages. That said, having a Go service just be exposed

Much of the "progress" in the USSR was based on slave labour [1]. And it was not limited to just physical labour. Many intellectual feats were also the product of people working in, what essentially amounts to, a prison [2]. [1]

I cannot shake the feeling that the inner emblem should be moved down just a tiny bit. Visual subjective balance is not the same as geometric balance. It just looks visually skewed in the vertical dimension. What a poor result.
