I agree that mobile-only was a poor move. I want to consume content on my own terms, and that is usually on a screen larger than my phone. The fact that the videos are short is great. Most of the content I have watched throughout the pandem

I agree. I’ve seen a few models work in other industries. MIT’s OpenCourseWare (OCW) and edX initiatives relied on partnerships with other universities and institutions. They all pay in to fund the development of the underlying platform. Op

Are you referring to taxes and tips? While not always visible, they can be calculated. The last time I booked a rental car or hotel, I paid exactly what I was quoted at booking time.

Uber uses Stripe and PayPal to process payments. They don’t need to reimplement either, and doing so would be a bit of a waste. It’s worth pointing out that not all of the 2200 services may be user-facing. Some may be internal, such as admi

My dislike of frontend work mostly stems from the fact that, at least when I started, there were no generally accepted best practices. I started out with Backbone.js, and it wanted to be “unopinionated” in things like directory layout and t

Cirque has/had multiple traveling shows. They spend anywhere from a few days to a few weeks in each city, depending on whether it’s an arena or a big tent show.

Avis/Budget have a similar program. I've always found Budget to be cheaper than competitors. I'm amazed every time I rent that more people aren't savvy to Fastbreak. It is very convenient!
