That’s all true, but fuzz testing is very effective at checking boundary conditions (near 0, near max/mins) and would have caught this particular problem easily.

In games with fast motion, 120hz vs 240hz is easily perceptible (outside first person shooters it’s not good to provide much value). I would be fine with 120hz for desktop work, but 60hz displays has been a gripe of mine about Macs for a lo

Agreed. I rarely search for anything without "... site:reddit.com" or "site:github.com". the sheer number of sites that scrape github and then pop up above github in the search results is a clear example of this. why isn

Output of a lightning channel is almost certainly more likely to contain mixed coins. The UTXO model is hopelessly outdated.

most smart contracts that deal with tokens (swaps, borrowing, etc) use the ERC-20 standard. WETH is a simple smart contract where you deposit X eth and you receive x weth in return (where weth is a token that adheres to the ERC-20 standard)

there's about $20b worth of eth in the weth contract. $1.1m of eth has been lost this way (so op's lost weth is about 45% of all weth lost from transfers). https://etherscan.io/address/0xc02aaa39b223fe8d0a0e5c

Every major chain except bitcoin and ethereum is proof-of-stake now. And in less than a year, ethereum will be proof of stake. People that say proof-of-stake "won't work" have no idea what they're talking about.

Most of the value in defi is in stablecoins and most prices are quoted in dollars. Some crypto stuff will have good value accrual mechanisms, others wont. The idea crypto displaces the dollar as a reserve currency is insanity.
