Thanks! I'm not hopeful for federal level privacy protections on par with the EU or even other states (Massachusetts being a leader in the US), so I think a state based strategy is the best bet. Especially in Montana as we have a cons

I actually wrote a House Bill for Montana in 2013 that would have been a pretty comprehensive privacy law for the state. My friend Dan tried his best to get it passed, but it was a bit too much new code for legislators to stomach. Thankfu

Hey! I run a new ISP in Montana. We're actually about to head to China to source more affordable fiber and OSP materials. If you want to chat we have a slack channel called #ispschool that has a bunch of ISP owners in it. http:

I came to say exactly this, though the article touched on a thing I've never understood: why is it embarrassing to take a job that pays? If I only had $30 for a week, I'd dig holes for minimum wage 10 hours a day if that's w

Hey! Awesome looking site and I'm looking forward to using it. My only request is when you do decide to monetize, that you pick a pricing strategy that doesn't cause me to stop using your product. I was using upwave.io until the

In Montana we're having success installing fiber, but we aren't outsourcing construction and using cheap electronics. I do wish we could use Google's set-top ONT though.

I'd argue that all it takes to start a company is a place to sleep and a good Internet connection (and good beer, but that's me). Also, fun fact, you could buy a house in Helena and pay less than your rent in NYC.
