I coded up a quick implementation of this in python, but in testing I found that after the algorithm was done I actually wanted a shuffled list.

W.r.t idea 15, I don't see how numbering things suggests continuity. The one on the left looks just as false-bottomy as the righthand one to me. Unless you have something sticking halfway on the page, or an arrow that points down or so
