You don't see any difference between cute baby pics and star wars kid? I wouldn't put naked baby pics or anything on the internet, but saying no pics at all seems a bit over-paranoid. (And I am about as paranoid as they come).

2.3x is still very significant. Would you rather make 3k a month, or 6.9k a month? One of those is 36k a year. The other is 82.8k a year. I know which one I'd prefer.

Except the watch is pretty much worthless without the phone it's attached to. Perhaps it would work from gym bag on the bench, definitely not from the locker room.

I'd love to but after quite a bit of searching I can't find them. I did see that Musk quoted 1 bil for right of way on the hyperloop, so my numbers must be off some. I'm pretty sure it still isn't the majority of the cos

i saw a video earlier today that suggested perhaps some features of a phone could be more convenient in watch form just as some things are more pleasant on phones and tablets than on desktops. that it wasn't a replacement, rather a sup

That's not actually true. Last estimates I saw said that the right of way was only costing a few (1-3 i think) billion of the total cost.

And you are wrong about it being one of the most densely populated areas in the US? 20th isn't that high.

I have no idea who downvoted this comment, but it is very true. The cost of a book is the cost of making and marketing it. Paper is really cheap. Obviously it is more expensive than bits, but not significantly.

I'm planning on releasing a book soon and have been strongly considering gumroad. I couldn't find anything about an affiliate program (now or coming soon). Do you have a link for this, or is it just from your talks with them?

Android has 80% worldwide market share, but it's much much closer in the US. If you take out the crap phones that are smartphone in name only, it's much closer worldwide. While Android is clearly winning by a decent margin, I'

Didn't say that at all. I said if you make bad decisions you will get a bad outcome. I did not say everyone who has a bad outcome made bad decisions to get there. Subtle but important difference.

Actually it's not zero value to society, and you don't just get to watch money roll in. It is providing capital to a business and it is full of risk. If the business fails then the money is gone. The markets play a valuable role i

Yes. If that person is a cashier at Walmart. The value added by that employee is simply not that high. They shouldn't get paid more just because we don't want to be poor. If you only make 20k you shouldn't be having 2 kids. I

First off, it's not that cynical. Plenty of people die before the age of 60. Male life expectancy is 76, so 35 years is 70% of expected remaining. Also, the point I was originally making, is that for most people the quality of life bet

The reason people ignore the Mac Pro is because it doesn't move the needle revenue/profit wise. At this point, all of Mac barely moves the needle. The Mac Pro is a tiny niche product that is cool and very much needed, just for a v
