I'm not sure I'd agree with that. For instance, I think the Nashville deal is fantastic for my city/state. we are getting 20% of the jobs (5k vs 25k) for "only" about 100 million compared to several billion from NY

Any chance we can get inbox “relaunched” instead of shut down? It’s miles better than gmail and my favorite google product by far. That they are killing it is absolutely insane.

While I agree we should have some taxes, for some of these things, I think the above list could be paid for with far less than what we currently spend. Plenty of waste. Also, for example, we could likely get away with spending a bit less on

That sounds nice. I pay $75 a month for 10/1. LTE is higher speed, but significantly more expensive because of data caps.

Alternately, how about the US not have absurd laws taxing money made in other countries? This is not a normal thing and most countries don't work this way. If we had sane tax laws, Apple (and ever other multi-national company that work

The obligation to the country is to follow the law and pay the taxes the law requires. which they do. Do you avoid taking deductions and send the IRS more than is required each year? Why, just because Apple makes a lot of money, do we expec

No, they pay exactly what they owe. It is in fact their job to follow the law and find ways to pay as little taxes as possible under the law, which is what they do.

i'm not sure robot soldier is scarier than nukes. generally speaking, if they are just single task robots performing functions in dangerous situations, that seems like an improvement to risking human lives.

What you propose is not in fact unethical in any way. They offered a good or service for money without gouging and not during a disaster. you aren't getting nothing out of the deal, you got a place to live for decades out of the deal.

Considering the fix is simply re-compiling, I don't think this is the end of the world. There aren't THAT many apps that are both still very good, and haven't been updated in YEARS. Yes there are some, but not that many.

The basic problem with welfare as it currently exists, is that it actually provides disincentives to working. If you start working they take away similar amounts of welfare. You'd have to get a job that is way more than the welfare for

Technically it isn't yet. It is still inflationary for the next 100 years or so. It is currently making less and less over time, but it is in fact still making more than there are now. Eventually it will be deflationary though.
