I find it interesting that all the comments here seem to view the options as "prioritise work/career first and work as hard as possibly can" and "don't prioritise work/career at all and do as little as you can

What's interesting(/blows my mind) though is that unsubstantiated rumours about the new OGL started going around weeks ago. This caused a massive amount of concern and outrage among the community, to the extend that WoTC actively

It's funny you say that because since The IT Crowd ended Chris O'Dowd has been cast multiple times as the relatable normal but still handsome hunk in comedies.

What do you think of Joe Lycett's series of Travel Man? I've only watched clips rather than full episodes but while he's very different to Ayoade I've still enjoyed it. I'm perhaps biased though because he has James

Have any of the US talk shows started to copy Graham Norton's "all guests on the couch together" style? For anyone unfamiliar Graham Norton hosts a late night style talk show but instead of inviting guests out one by one and

I can't find it but Alex Horne did an interview about the US remake and why it didn't work. The main reason in his opinion was that the network insisted on making it 30min (presumably 22min with ads) and that meant they had to cut

Imo the success of the US Office is that it took the cringeworthy hyper relatable observational comedy of the UK Office and made it a little more hopeful. It lost some of the shock power of original but made it far more addictive as comfort

Is there any actual evidence for the Hair Plugs thing? I've heard it frequently but also heard that it was actually lighting and styling.

I think Martin Freeman was semi-established at the time, though obviously not the renowned actor he is now. And Gervais and Merchant had a small following from their radio show.

I'm not overly concerned by cost given how much the procession seems to matter to so many people. But I do think people should be allowed to protest if they wish given we tax payers are paying for it. This isn't a private funeral.

I live in Edinburgh. Can confirm major disruption and likely costs based on the sheer number of police and event staff I've seen just walking through town.

Hmm I'm not sure it's fair to consider student loan repayment a tax. It's limited and many people will pay it off fast. I presume you're based in London if you're on £95k and still have outstanding student loads?

I'm not sure encouraging more children will help long term though. Eventually we need to figure out how to make society work without population growth.
