Not entirely accurate. The UK is technically a political union between England and Scotland, with both having separate legal system, currencies and a few other things. It is in many ways more one country than two countries but to say Scotla

One of the key arguments against independence was uncertainty over if/how soon we would join the EU. At the time that vs just staying in. Now it's vs definitely leaving. So while the argument hasn't changed the alternative ha

The article states 3 seconds is a view. If I'm on desktop and stop to read a post above or below an autoplay video then it would likely count as a view. I'm sure some people do watch video without sound but I agree the 85% figure

I agree with this, except for the last line. Software Engineering is a great career in a lot of ways (interesting subject, smart people, flexible, relatively less bureaucratic, good pay etc) and sometimes I forget how damn good I have it co

I don't use an iPhone so have to ask, can users not select the search engine they want to use? Oneplus tried to change the default search on their phones to Bing and the first thing I did was switch back to Google.

It sounds to me like you've never actually worked in software engineering. I'd estimate only 30-45% of my time in actually spent 'programming'. The rest of it is spent (re)designing systems, learning new technologies and
