You need formatters with options so you set the options to fit your preferences and then when new people come in to the project you just say 'The formatter has no opinions, it just formats'

Yeah I have 3 iPhone 6 from 6 years ago with new batteries but can't update iOS or install modern apps. No hardware issues at all but will have to throw them into the garbage for the sake of Apple software support policy

'Made by America' could be a marketing thing to try in the US. Sweden does it with Volvo cars and most people still believe Volvo cars are made in Sweden, the text is so similar you hardly notice the difference

I agree, it's a waste of screen estate and focus estate, I can't see the benefit of a minimap. I usually use imenu in Emacs so any definition is 0.1s away with a keypress

I agree it's fake, there is phones on the market that has phone and internet via satellite but you need a subscription and it's expensive. The average Joe don't have that. I think this is a PR-trick to suggest Apple is releva

Dvorak is apparently better but lack of time and lack of keyboard customizability has stopped me from trying it out. I think that effort is the reason why it hasn't succeeded and never will

I think what is evident for all parents is the importance of cooling down the entire car, not just the driver or front passenger but all kids in the back, sometimes with a lot of stuff in the way of the vents

Yes it seems better to whitelist specific explicit Linux-configurations (version, window-manager, sound-setup, etc). Like we officially support this, if you are using something else use the forums to discuss with other users but we will not

I would turn the argument around and say that what we usually diagnose as ADHD or ASD are infact many different brain variations. Having for example ADHD doesn't mean your brain has any similiarity to another ADHD brain. The diagnosis

yes it is really bad, the UIs for PMs was better 10 years ago, thinking about ICQ, Adium, MSN Messenger and the like. You could export history as file and easily scroll and search them

Semantic is used less and less I would say, there is not enough people involved in keeping it and it's grammars updated, it also suffers lack of asychronicity. Tree-sitter and LSP has the advantage of re-using code for multiple editors
