This title makes it sound like these two developments would be unrelated. The thing is that giving a group of people more power generally worsens their behavior.

Both the worst-case and the best-case scenario are on the table. Only time will tell what happens. As you seem to be focusing on the worst-case scenario I will talk about the best-case scenario. The best-case scenario is that the human immu

Is it actually true that endless loops are undefined behavior? This statement does not make sense at face value. I am aware that sometimes UB is used to throw away code, but is an endless loop really UB? Anyway, compiling while(true); in g+

Yes that is true. One really should not start throwing integers in code that one hopes to reuse someplace else.

"has anyone yet found a legitimate use for throwing an `int`?" I could image throwing an int when writing a shell utility and throwing the return value of main as an int but I suppose doing that usefully would be pretty rare. Usua

I think the most important mistake is writing needlessly complicated algorithms. I.e., creating more auxiliary variables than needed. Also 'if (condition == true)' tends to happen quite a lot.

The EU parliament has far too little power to come anywhere close to the EU being a democracy. The problem being that in second reading there has to be a 2/3 majority to approve amendments.

Well, the day has only 24 hours so every hour that you spend on dealing with people is an hour you do not spend on dealing with computers and vice versa. And one has a shot at getting good at what one does often.

I would say it is best to do both TDD and have a statically typed language with explicit types written down for every variable. The latter mainly for readability. Let us look for a minute at how mathematicians write things. It is like '
