The previous capabilities of Quicktime, Airport Utility, Disk Utility, and Pages did not come back. The "new" Quicktime was introduced 8 years ago. The pattern we've seen is Apple decides to re-write a utility because reaso

It's a good list with a lot of sense. My one minor nit is that they don't stock soda because it's not healthy. Let people be themselves and make their own decisions: you should provide something to drink and it should be what

India is on the list. That tells you a lot about the selection criteria: governmental efficiency is simply not a criteria. Nor is passenger wealth a criteria. My guess is that these routes are chosen based on population of the end points, d

The link is pretty bizarre to me. It can only occur if an enormous region of an ocean is tremendously heated. Short of a Chicxulub-style event in which down falling ejecta massively heats a large region, I don't see how you get there.

Question: Does this undermine California's safety standards for self-driving cars? I was very pleased with how quickly California slapped down Uber. Will California still be able to do that? For those who don't remember: Uber was

Let me give a clear example of why repealing Prop 13 would be a bad idea: my Mom. My Mom has a fixed income and owns her home. Plenty of savings for retirement like a responsible person. My Dad retired in 1986. This is in Fremont, Californi

You're kinda missing the point. We've had 50 years of very rich people challenging the law and losing. Many of them applied to the USSC. The USSC is not interested because this is basic mundane permit-condition stuff. The only tim

For anyone new to this issue: keep in mind that when Khosla bought the property, California Law and prior Caselaw were crystal clear that there is absolutely no legal way for Khosla to close or reduce pre-existing beach access. This is not

I really miss Pascal; it was a great and safe language for beginners. As it was extended with Objects and Modules, it was great for development. But there are good reasons it was surpassed by C. In early Pascal, you got a pointer by allocat
