When dnautics says "different environment" he's not talking about the global environment, he's talking about the environment around the cell. A minimal viable cell should be able to survive on water, some dissolved gasse

Austerity != hoarding cash. Greece, Spain and Portugal haven't shown us that austerity damaged the economy. _Their economies were already bleeding_ but they were throwing enough money & debt at the problem to cover it up. Austerit

I wrote a command called 'lc', which list commands in a directory. I've found that what I really want is context-specific command history, and this provides it. Linky: https://github.com/pconerly/lc-listc

No? Your understanding of racism is wrong, I think. It's not a "I'm going to reserve my airbnb for my racial group only!" it's: "I'm uncomfortable letting someone of another race rent my house, because I a

Huh, that is awesome. As a novice vimpire I'd love to figure out a teaching tool like that for vim. Vim doesn't really have a menu-- but maybe something that recognizes what series of edits you just made and suggests a shortcut?

You're not taking cousin marriage into account--- a lot of those 50k people are the same people. And I'm using the loose definition of "cousin"-- any non-immediate, however distant, family relative.

Hmmm I see what you're saying. It's a mess but I optimistically think it's still something we will be able to tease out, by looking at many genes in a genome. FWIW, It was recently estimated that 2% of core genes per genome
