There is a big difference between blogs, corporate blogs, and blog advertising. The author is conflating the three and drawing a bogus conclusion.

My problem is with the premise of your argument; that being expressive and flexible are more desirable than other traits, and that having those traits make it somehow more applicable to 'real world' applications, whatever those are. I've co

You can't charge what the water 'cost', it was thousands of years of filtering into the underground aquifers. And it is too late, the water has been used. Same problem with any non- or slow replenishing natural resource that we've been boo

http://codepen.io/ has evolved to something like that. Live samples, likes and looks, and a code viewer.

They didn't allocate it, you did. Most people are not on large screens. First they were uncommon, then just as wide screens became normal, so did small screen handheld devices, like what I'm on right now lying in bed sunday morning.

We did the same sort of thing in the pkzip source code 20 years ago. There were a number of pointless routines in the program that would be clear evidence of code theft. These days I suppose an optimizing compiler would be smart enough to s

Very useful though when doing the 90% of code work that isn't composing new stuff from scratch. A real gift for people doing lots of code review. As you say great support for issues would go a long way toward that.

It is very lame. I take it as a sign that the people behind it would likely have mis-managed things. The failure to keep an eye on things, or find that last push that was needed, is a red flag.

Disappointing to see such FUD in today's landscape. What MS is doing is in almost every way an improvement for the vast majority of the population.
