Funny how it is 180DEG opposite of what we hear from team-hype: AI going to replace you, and, AI can "create".

I've been using this for the few DJ sets I do per year. Very complete software, very stable also. Sadly I have to use RekordBox now that I want to not bring the laptop + DJ controller, but just a USB stick. And RekordBox does not run w

JS would not be my weapon of choice. Your FW can be standards-first, but I never get to move my code away from the language it is written in.

Just having sum types is not enough: you need some level of type safety and exhaustivity checking in match/switch statements to truly benefit from them. Go does not. Java did not (maybe now with sealed types and exhausitvity checks on

And the notion of lazy associations, life cycles, clean/dirty, attached/detached, ... etc, etc. The book of Hibernate is thicker than the book for SQL. The only thing that works better in ORMs is "save". Just call save o

Yeah, that's also my main problem with the article. Otherwise great to prmote TSTs. I think the TSTs should also contain the stacktrace. Not or X or Y, but both X and Y.

I dont think so, TST and stacktraces are different. Stacktraces show me call-stack to the point the error happened. Something TST does not always show: different call-stacks can result in the same (or very similar) TST-stacks. It is possibl

No you dont. Sorry for the blunt answer. ORMs are a bad idea, even when using OO langs: they make the simple queries slightly simpler (`Users.getById(id: Long)`), they do not help you for hard queries (ORM-using codebases of size usually ha

I like TST. We use it in our code (FP'ish Kotlin). But I also like stack traces, as they show me call-stack to the point the error happened. Something TST does not always show: different call-stacks can result in the same (or very simi

Reading this I think of all the programming languages that comments with whole languages inside of them. That is beyond the complex documentation I found.

I think indentation sensitivity is very well suited for configs: you want little line noise and the complexity is low. I do understand the trade-off TOML made in this case. Some languages prohibit the TAB character, and only allow spaces at

Nice! I really like a fresh take on anything. It's been said to be like RFC822 or Debian Control File Format in the comments here, I'd like to add like x-www-form-urlencoded. At work I use this a lot as it is what browsers submit.

If your drone can land on a high spot and save energy by not flying, while using energy to use camera and radio communications, that would be really nice! Also: the noise a drone makes, gives away it's presence.

While the improvements can be huge, they can never truly fix a language imho. There's too much code depending on it, and there's the stdlib that contains a lot of the "worst practices". It's easy to love Rust (OCaml
