Music videos on the Windows 95 CD didn't occupy space on your hard disk, either. As long as the operating system still fit on the CD-ROM, it didn't matter what other extras were on it.

It depends on one's definition of dictatorship. I personally do not believe, for instance, the British Crown is one such instance.

With the GNU Units program, I have this defined in my ~/.units: "floppyMB 1000 KiB" Is it useful? Perhaps not, but you can use it to translate "1.2 floppyMB", "1.44 floppyMB" into other units.

I'd wager that most wikis use the MediaWiki software, which is what Wikipedia runs on. One particular thing that comes to mind though, is that Fossil ( https://fossil-scm.org/ ) has a private local-only sandbox: https:&

It was developed primarily to replace SQLite's CVS repository, after all. They used CVSTrac as the forge and Fossil was designed to replace that component too.

as far as I understand the problem (sorry, the SO isn't the clearest around), Fossil should support this operation. It does one better, since it even tracks exactly where merges come from. In Git, you have a merge commit that shows u

That script might do with the "-w" parameter passed to scrub. Then "zpool scrub" won't return until the scrub is finished.

I have Windows 95 on a Pentium 120 MHz and calc.exe is instantaneous enough that it's probably much less than 300ms to launch. XP's calculator is hardly any different than 95. It's easy to believe that launching it on a Core

I believe the parent is referring to how GNOME 3.0 had some really bad resizing grabs. Single-pixel widths at the edges, and almost impossible to hit corners. Latter versions significantly improved it.

MAME intentionally avoids making any release "1.0" since the project's goal is to "emulate everything"—an effectively impossible goal to reach, so the version is never going to be set at 1.0.

The problem is the word "emulator" itself. It's a very flexible word in English, but when applied to computing, it very often implies emulating foreign hardware in software, which is always going to be slow. Wine doesn'

Given the reaction from Cleavon Little I could fully buy that it was an ad-libbed line. Then again, they are actors. It might have started as ad-libbed, but entirely possible it had multiple takes still to get it "just right".
