Wikipedia is too often the final source of truth for people. While I'm not saying it's intentionally wrong very often, but accidental wrongs get repeated elsewhere. It happens especially with things like the Vatican flag ("Su

Simple: there's no softmod for my Switch and I don't want to risk a hardware mod. I can't even copy the games I own to my PC.

Even without Steam, you could use Syncthing for your Dolphin-emu data.

In general, I'm not sure what the idea of putting Dolphin on Steam was supposed to gain. First, I have a hard time conceiving why I'd even want to manage it from Steam, but aside from that, it seems like it'll only attract at

You could maybe build and run User-Mode Linux on FreeBSD, and run that in a jail. That's pretty close to your own interpretation of "Linux kernel in a jail" But to be real: that's obviously not what was meant. If someone

AT&T v BSDi had a large hand in that outcome of fates. It put the legality of BSD code in all its places into doubt for many years. Ironically, just a few years later, SCO thought "hey that was a good idea" and did it to Linux

Hey, when selling a toolkit/framework, they've gotta spin the data in their favor as much as possible. If I was in charge of Qt marketing, I'd do the same.

The "server OS" bit came from software assuming that Windows NT 5.2 would always be Server 2003, and it was an incorrect assumption. If they had instead read the ProductType key and based the SKU lockout on WinNT (home/workst

Windows XP and Server 2003 would mark the only time in Windows's history that the releases weren't fully synced up. (Unless you count Windows XP x64 Edition, which was the same OS files as Server 2003) I doubt any Windows administ

With the continual feature additions in the 2.4.x series, I dare say the project fell into a versioning slump like Linux had in the 2.6.x series. Rather than being a fixed set, instead it was continually evolving, and Apache's "2.

"Download blasphemous books"? That sounds like a highly specific use case, one I've never sought out. Why would it be inherently dangerous on Windows 95? I think there's some context or euphemism I'm missing.

Windows 2000 was build 2195, 2210 is only 15 days later. It's reasonable that branding was switched to Whistler pretty early, working on the next version, but this build is still extremely close to just being a plain Windows 2000.
