I'm a really big fan of Ramnode right now. Very well priced with great performance. Alternatively you can look at serverbear.com for comparisons.

Why don't you trust Google? Lots of people recommend rackspace or fastmail for email. I still use Gmail but have plans to build something on top of dropbox when I get some spare time.

Just because I don't want to worry about it doesn't mean that I don't. In fact these are the things that keep me employed. The point I'm making is, the level of abstraction is increasing and putting us in a place where someday we wont have

Oh I have nothing against G+ personally. I just don't use it and none of my friends do either. If there was a significant level of activity on there or better content discovery then perhaps I would use it.

I concur. I've been using go for close to a year now, discovered it inside Google and continued to play after leaving. It's really a fantastic language to work with. You can get away with using type inference most of the time which keeps th

Yes I realise this. User generated video may not be Yahoo's priority right now but on the subject of video, studio produced content is more than likely to be. Everyone's throwing their hat in the ring when it comes to streaming tv online. Y

Yes! I completely agree about Vimeo. It's a brilliantly simple and clean service for video and would be a fantastic addition for Yahoo. Although I think they want to go much bigger and try for something like Hulu.

Just to address the Video issue. I think Yahoo knows this is a general problem for them and it's probably the next on the list of things to address. I have a feeling it's going to come in the form of a Video service acquisition that will th
