Source code access, and being free of charge seems to be the main things you would get compared to 1Password. Also, great Linux support (from what I've heard 1Password only recently even added a Linux-compatible client). But to me it s

Alternatively, companies need to accept that being able to adjust your workforce is costly and account for that. This is not something new for them. Revolut knew damn well what the labor laws looked like when they opened their Poland office

This looks a lot like something I have been imagining in my head (and tinkering with building on and off for a while). Thank you, I will for sure try this. One thing that stands out to me though is the lack of mobile support. I want my note

You can accomplish something like this by using git-notes ( https://git-scm.com/docs/git-notes ). You'd have to have your own tooling to read/write these in a convenient way of course.

Simple. I wear my glasses all day every day. I can't wear earbuds all day every day. If I have to insert earbuds to talk to Alexa, then I could just bring up my entire phone.

How I wish it was this way in Sweden. Unfortunately it's not - there is no requirement to accept any specific kind of payment and it's by now rare to see anyone pay with cash.

One thing that took me a while to "get" fully (and muster the courage to try) is that as an engineering manager it is perfectly ok to at times hand over stuff you might consider "your job" to members on your team. If you
