Overblown? If you buy something and the seller sends you the wrong item you have the legal right to keep it. In a normal world if that seller steals back that item, he is guilty of theft. It doesn't matter if he "rectified" t

CRISPR right now is way too inacurate to be used in anything else but lab experiments and plants. A similar experiment with gene editing yielded apparent success in 3 out of 45 human embryos. Who knows what other abnormalities will be detec

Is this achievable in Cannabis? Could this potentially reduce the light necessary for growth or accelerate it? I know there are comercially available crispr kits, is this theoretically achievable in a home lab?

I believe that's true. My feeling is that Putin will not stop if he doesn't get an exit from this war, even though he probaby regrets his decision by now. He miscalculated badly, it was too late for a "special operation"

Sad to read this. Their OccuSync tech is really good and us/europe has nothing approaching its capabilities. Maybe someone will finally wake up and create a competitive fpv video system

The reasons for Russia's hyperagression are simple and stated by Putin himself - he sees it as reacting to an existential threat. Right now US can't do a preemptive nuclear strike without retaliation. If military bases pop up in U

We need more context to judge the situation, but, i don't see any reason why they should have access to your medical records. A letter from your doctor should be sufficient. Get a lawyer asap, don't sign anything, you might be in

not really, the most advanced comercially available digital fpv video system can do at most 10km range (these systems are latency limited, sure there are 4g systems that can do more but you end up with hundreds of ms latency) also to mainta

not really, the brain can verify the correctness of the pattern matching, and use that to infer other possibly correct patterns. also this model can't really infer intentionality or discern between variants and weigh in pros and cons.

This technology is a godsend for the government to catch wistleblowers before they're able to leak information. You wouldn't even hear about those poor souls.

Ofcourse they won't fix this. Autocomplete saves form values which are usually full of juicy information like addresses, names, ssn's, payment info, etc. which are vacuumed up by the data monster. Same with passwords. Even though
