Very impressive. I read the readme and I’m unsure how memory management works, is it GC? And is it OOP or not? Thanks :)

I hear impressive things about Singapore’s health system. Maybe USA could trial that system in one state for a while?

I recently was obsessed with FM for a while! If you want a bit of fun, here’s a synth I made, the codes fairly simple if you want to poke around, you can fool with parameters easily. Doesn’t work great on mobile though. https://c

Why are we so crummy? Is it because our talent finds it generally easy to migrate to the states for better opportunities, because of no language barrier and the ‘coalition of the willing’ visa (iirc)?

Do you think perhaps the problem is rooted in people being dishonest, and honest people are driven mad by it all and self-select out? The dead-sea effect?

What would be possible if everyone interested in Linux-on-macOS chipped in $5 each month? I wonder if this could fund a big enough team to make this super-polished.

Congrats! I have a question: I used to have a job as a Rails developer, and one thing i struggled with was knowing which options/hash keys were possible to pass into various functions, due to the lack of typing. Would it be the case th

I’m trying to get a better picture of this. Can someone tell me what percentage of code contributions are paid for by Matt/automattic? If it’s like 99% then I’m a little more sympathetic, I’m reminded of the centos/redhat thing. E

Oh I love FM synths! I'm working on a customisable one in my spare time lately for the kids' school, as the music teacher was complaining that the students have been using all the same samples over and over. Feel free to have a pe

My recollection of the reason back then was that running on a VM would make the transition to 64 bits smooth, which at the time was worrying everyone a lot.

I have a new Tiguan. It’s supposed to be AWD. In reality though, even when in off-road mode, it’s basically front-wheel-drive as evidenced by the fronts spinning when you accelerate hard into a gap in traffic. Most cars that use a Haldex oe

I've tried creating a few one-man SaaS's in the past and have always struggled to get customers to visit (let alone try it out and pay), any tips from people here who have had success? Thanks :)

I did read somewhere yesterday that macOS does not allow third party software to run at kernel level in the same way, thus couldn’t face the same issue.

Perhaps they're prioritising preventing hyperinflation, and willing to break eggs (layoffs) for that inflation-under-control omelette. Either way, it's all not much fun right now :(

Hi all, I recently finished writing a series of articles on implementing NNs from scratch, trying to keep it as relatable as possible by demonstrating the maths (math, americans might say) in spreadsheets, pseudocode, and Rust. I really hop

Wouldn’t the ‘sage theory’ simply be that: this is a recession. Perhaps it’s just been too long since the last one (17ish years?) for people to recall recessions. Last time I got stuck in a very boring job too, for 4 painful years. Probably

Back in my ruby on rails days, we used to have a saying: Don't 'dry out' your code. I still find that to be a good saying to bring up when you're trying to find a good balance between repetitive code vs painfully generic
