Plenty of people in the tech world have been warning about this for a long time. Healthcare is lax with security on all levels, from electronic pacemakers to healthcare.gov. Manufacturers and providers need to act instead of waiting for it

I touched a little on that with scaling unit segregation by subdomains, but it would be a great topic for a more advanced look. I'll keep it in mind!

Having named parameters with different public than internal names is a brilliant idea, but I wonder how often it'll be used in practice. If it's used a lot, it might indicate that those parameters are badly named to begin with :)

I disagree that in software process the manufacturing is trivial. Software is so often designed as more general systems, that need to be configured and installed and integrated, etc. Those steps aren't part of the design process anym

Reduction of time-consuming effort is exactly one of the points I'm going for. It's necessary for a proper software future. I considered machine-aided development, and it's definitely a very good potential future. In the co

Software needs to be configured and integrated. Those steps resemble the manufacturing process a lot more. I'll go more into this in the second part, I hope I'll be able to make it clear enough.

Thanks for the input! For the purpose of this post, I didn't make the distinction between services and products, since at their most basic level, they are the same. The difference is in business model, not implementation or process. &

Are there any plans to add support for other OPC sources to OneGet? I can imagine a Windows8StoreProvider would be very useful, especially if you can provide those through MyGet too.

Okay, valid point, some already do. But that doesn't change the case that _all_ of them should be doing it whenever possible.

There's a ton of package managers, but none that are as built into the platform as nuget is. On top of that, what advantage would there be in having multiple package managers? All you're doing is making the package management har

I whole-heartedly agree. It does create some danger there of mismatching versions between the tooling and the nuget packages. What do we do if the user has upgraded to a newer version of the package, but hasn't updated his emulator y

Why would installing something like jQuery be a bad fit for Nuget? It's a dependency like any other, just because it's in JS doesn't mean you shouldn't handle it the same way you would other packages. Versions in directo

Microsoft is increasingly doing it with their frameworks and components, but not for real SDKs. Windows 8 and Phone development still requires an installer to build. It's not just Microsoft though. Other vendors need to jump on the sam
