I think those numbers are bogus based on my personal experience. I do live in the USA and work in tech the past 10 years.

Linode is a sponsor to my YouTube channel. They have 5.00 plans and have for well over a year now. 10.00 plans too. Linode seems to be doing quite well. They tout themselves as the largest privately held cloud hosting company in the wo

I find it interesting they are laying off 7% of their staff while hiring new developers. I say this as they had a job post in DC recently saying we could join their growing company. Are they growing or retracting?

Luckily he won't be elected and shouldn't if he really thinks AI (in its current form) will solve these problems.

No offense, I'd let her go. Speaking from a guy with 14 years of marriage and a subsequent nasty divorce. I have custody of my 2 children as well. You only live once. Retire early.

Interesting that stumbleupon was also a reboot of a failed 90's website before that.

Whether Razor or Server Side React, it's the same thing. Both are compiled and produced on the server and sent to the client. No difference except that react is a much better template engine.

Correct. In no way is this tool a webpack killer. Webpack solves a lot of problems that clearly this author of this post is not familiar with based on the clickbaity title.

I'll definitely check this out. One of the issues I ran into with ES6 module importing was the dependencies of dependencies which didn't have ES6 importing options. So, I found myself editing source code for dependencies which

A few things developers are waking up to... burnout, working evenings and weekends, a life outside of code, having children or families, master in a specific field vs jack of all trades (master of none), money is more important than free sn

Not a bad thing in my opinion. It will raise the price for developers who know their stuff. Open source needs to be re-evaluated in this day and age. We are churned and burned by company execs for their personal mission for riches. No

What a terrible industry we work in. He should at the very least let them fire him so he can claim unemployment (assuming in the states) which the company will have to pay for. This may also be a lesson to never work for a startup. He s

Just curiously asking, how does one pay for it if they don't have a job or lose their job? I think people should be less tied to their employers but how do they get coverage if they have no job? Who is paying for it?
