Having used masks for over a decade: not really. It's second nature to push up the mask.

Earplugs and sleep masks are habit forming, but speaking as a light sleeper, it's better than the alternative. It's easy enough to always have one on hand, and makes a big difference in my restfulness.

As a side sleeper I had the opposite experience unfortunately, so YMMV. The Manta Pro is touted for side sleepers, but I've used both the pro and original and they both suffer from the same problem: it still slips around and the walls

I repurposed my original 11th gen board as a home server running a NAS and NVR, among other things. [1] These boards are going to kick ass for a long time because of the IO. USB 3.2 can handle 10Gbps, enough for a SATA drive array. Thunderb

A couple years ago we made a Morse Code chatbot for an xkcd April fool's comic [1]. I learned a lot about the UX of Morse input. It can be tricky for folks new to Morse to have consistent timing around dots and dashes. Displaying the d

I'm using this 5-bay USB 3.2 drive enclosure [1] and the official Framework 3d printed case [2] in polycarbonate ordered via Craftcloud (the Cooler Master case would have been both cheaper and easier!) I also looked at TB4 disk enclos

I love how this launch included new reuse paths for old components, including a new mainboard case [1] and battery / screen case designs. If Framework maintains mechanical compatibility between generations, things are going to get real

Anecdotally, I've found that TSA interest has decreased over time. I built a DAN A4 with an AIO cooler in 2019 and have flown over 10 times with it. My last 3 flights, I didn't get stopped at all.

apt repository metadata and package data are typically verified via gpg signature (sometimes https for third party repos). Debian/Ubuntu first party repos are verified via gpg keys already stored in your system.

This is potentially fantastic news, if only to have a universal magnetic mounting standard across mobile devices. The past few years have seen an explosion of cool applications of magsafe: - Corridor Digital made a multi-phone mounting rig

Development should be more exploratory and experimental than prod. For the past decade I've had a similar strategy: I freely install and demo new dependencies on separate dev hardware (or a VM when I'm on the road). Then I code re
