This website is basically a fancier version of https://http2.golang.org/gophertiles While cool, both websites are making an unfair comparison to the way that HTTP/1.1 is normally deployed for such sites, as neither dem

Even quicker still is to use sshuttle; it automatically transparently tunnels all of your traffic through an SSH connection, without having to change any proxy settings. Very useful.

Yeah, fair enough. Though I seem to recall (I was at the talk) that the speaker didn't get to see much of North Korea anyway.. but I'd have to re-watch the talk to be sure!

I don't think you watched too far into the talk :) He spends a while demonstrating Red Star OS in a virtual machine.

Most likely they do. Beyond TV/radio etc, at least grad students get internet access in North Korea, so perhaps developers have some level of access too. See this talk from 31C3 a couple of weeks ago: http://media.ccc.de

Like most Google apps, it's a staged rollout so you won't see it yet. It runs on at least Android 4.0+. You can download and install the latest version from here if you don't want to wait: http://www.apkmirror.com&

Well, Netflix did launch in Germany at midnight today ;) But I agree; looking at the HN front page just now, I only see a couple of things that could be said to be US-specific (or any-country-specific), one of which is a job posting.

If it passes, Scotland won't actually become independent until 2016, so there's no worry there. But in any case, there would be no reason for Scotland to make the existing UK and European standards stricter, especially for people

Possibly that `git revert` doesn't somehow remove the commit you've done, rather it creates a new commit removing the changes, along with a commit message saying which commit is being reverted.
