It's true, not being part of Excel adds some friction. Thankfully IE11 has Office interop via COM, so Mesh (or a site embedding Mesh) can talk to existing spreadsheet investments. And on the locked-down front, Mesh doesn't require

If you need "export to JS" in a similar app, you might like Mesh Spreadsheets: http://www.mesh-spreadsheet.com Slow functions and trees/graphs are currently a problem with Mesh as well, but timeouts may take care

Right now you could share a Mesh file as code , but yes, you'd need to have a way of consuming that code. Right now there's no way of communicating the UI interface; I had envisaged that people would download Mesh separately from
