Awesome, thanks for trying it out! This is great feedback. I'd love to connect this up to Flux.1 and have auto-generated hero images at the top! And getting the sound right will be a huge part of it, since it's basically an audio-

Thanks! Some good insights here. The quest is based on A Wild Sheep Chase. I can relax the guardrails a little bit, but part of what is being shown is that the world is controllable by the developer. It's nascent, but this is a demon

I think all of these modalities have their place. Sure, you can hang out with friends and play poker, sports or D&D IRL. But we still play video games.

Hey, glad you enjoyed it! And I agree – the sudden freedom to shape the story and really form relationships with the NPCs is mind-blowing. It's definitely a glimpse into the future of gaming and storytelling. Also, having the text appe

Ahh, I'm unlikely to publish any articles, sorry! But Aras has a great Unity renderer for non-VR platforms, if you want to play around with an existing implementation: https://github.com/aras-p/UnityGaussianSplatti

Huh, that's a neat idea. I haven't personally seen any papers that explore converting traditional 3D art into splats, but it should be possible. At a very basic level: you could render a 3D item on a black background, capture it f

This is great – thanks for explaining it all, Mike! In the research paper, the authors compare GS3D to NeRFs, but the scenes train more quickly (perhaps 30 minutes for a scene), and render in real-time. So it's really been a huge upgra

Thanks! Yes, but only opaque objects. Transparent objects would be hard to fit into the rendering order without order-independent transparency. I did a version with stochastic alpha to coverage, which would work well alongside both opaque a

It was a demo of Panic's DietCoda! It was running for a while but I think it's been taken down now (since App.io's pivot maybe).

Simulator instances aren't sandboxed, so you can transverse the master system's file system with a malicious iOS app. This is indeed an attack vector.

Hi delackner, The API documentation is pretty dense! Sorry about that. To see the latency, check out: http://app.io/showcase . That's our technology in action. We are running iOS in the cloud and streaming back graphics

Hi Khangtoh, That's essentially correct. We do a bit of magic to stream the smallest amount of image data possible (sending mostly-transparent frames if pixel data hasn't changed, etc.). Put simply though: yes, you can think of it

Hi there. It shouldn't take too long to process. I suggest clicking 'Support' from the dashboard and we'll investigate further. It may be an .IPA instead of an .APP (we require the simulator build), or we may need to rep

Hi, COO here. It's a similar idea. We've chosen to focus on iOS first, then branch out in to many other platforms, even beyond mobile eventually.

Hi, COO here. Thanks for your feedback. Coincidentally, we have a mobile-optimized version being finished off shortly! We agree that a native app would be great. More on that in the coming months.
