If my Hobson choice was giving up my dog, out sleeping in a bed. I'm sleeping outside with my dog (unless it was freezing) asking (it rather forcing) someone to give up their dog is cruel. Cruel to both the person and the dog.

I would expect a neighborhood, even where everyone owns a semi to have significantly less wear than a thorough-faire that sees a lot of traffic. But even that didn't tell you everything. A good quality asphalt will out last a poor one

It was a business thing. Business travelers works get there company to pay for the WiFi. So it was expensive. And it wasn't a US thing. I ran into the same issue in Europe.

I guess it depends on how you define racism. One common definition is negative discrimination based on race. In order to be anti racists you must negatively discriminate against a race, therefore anti racism is just another term for racism.

It is illegal in most places to park a car on the sidewalk. I don't know of anyone, at least the big chains, that will serve a pedestrian in a drive thru. If you live in a more walkable part of town there is usually an all night diner.

I've never seen anyone do this. But, unless the small business is committing fraud, they are then eating the tax. I don't a small business is going to willing pay 10% (or whatever the tax is)

Law enforcement agencies shouldn't be sharing licence part reader info with ANYONE, at least without a warrant. For murder or not. Now it sounds like they are sharing all the data for everyone, which is different than sharing the data
