What cues did the author miss? Why would the author (or anyone) expect the file they JUST copied to their desktop to now suddenly be in the trash can?

I don't think the issue is emptying trash deletes the files. The issue is "moving" a file from Google Docs to the desktop, creates a link on the desktop, but moves the Google Docs file to the trash. You now have a link on you

Events WILL occur, with or without security. And they will also occur at malls, schools, places of work, and sports stadiums. but the solution isn't to treat every customer as a criminal. Especially when it doesn't solve any probl

The problem is there are too many entry points into an airport. If you wanted to get a device into an airport and on a plane, you can. It might not be quite as simple as walking it through the security gates, but it can be done. The body sc

Why should airports have security? Just because other countries have security, doesn't mean the airport needs security. I don't know of any other transportation that requires airport like security, why are airports so special? I&#

You are assuming that something needs to be done, that something "needs to work." In reality we would be just as safer (actually safer) if we did away with TSA, than we are now.

You should be hiring for a "culture fit." But that doesn't mean every person has to fit the same mold. Many different types of people can fit the culture. And you are right, you don't want to be hiring "rockstars.&q

Data isn't copyrightable. The format is, but the data itself isn't. Yes, it would be nice to sanitize a list. And yes it would be nice to not actually use real names with real addresses. But no copyright violation here.

While it might seem pretty clear to you, it isn't clear to most users. There is very little indication that you are getting the boots for $39.95 as a VIP member. In addition there is a SINGLE large action item; "continue checkout.

This really isn't a freedom of speech issue. This is a customer service issue. Would you rather do business with a company that stops doing business with customers that complain, or with a business that listens to customers complaints

Apparently EasyJet DID treat him better because he was a journalist (well actually because he taught law) Apparently if he was just a lay person they wouldn't have let him on the flight. So you decide if it was a real complaint or not.

In America the goal of copyrights has always been to promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts. Of course this is done by giving the authors exclusive rights over their work. With the hopes they can profit from it, so they can make mo
