Thanks for taking the time to explain. I guess I was pretty ignorant in thinking that a plugin basically has all access to the dev-env it's written in. I hadn't really heard of WASI, let alone understand it, but it totally makes s

No, I got that. I understand how the host is protected, but didn't understand how everything inside the "VM" was protected... @galgalesh answers that above.

Apologies for lack of my lack of knowledge in this area, but... Why don't plugins "need to be as trusted"? Obviously bad-actor plugins would be less effective and capable of inflicting any sort of attack on your development O

Like I said, I don't know if it was a Motorola thing and Samsung is different. Seems like that is the case since Samsung is considered the high-end option for android.

Regarding the reduction in lines of SQL. Doesn't this imply a tradeoff with where compute is utilized? By reducing SQL, wouldn't you be "pushing up" the compute from the database to the JVM while also increasing the amou

Yup, log injection is something that I've been hearing a lot about recently, but I really only thought about it being able to affect systems that consume the logs. This approach is pretty ingenious.

This is where I struggle to agree. Cheaper how? The way that I look at it is that the iphone is cheaper bc it's going to last 3-4x longer than the android phone. (3-4x less ewaste) Moreover, when it comes eventually replacing the iphon

I don't think anyone is expecting google to patch every phone on the planet (assuming you mean every android device ever released). But they should be able to patch every phone of theirs including every old pixel and nexus. And if they

I'm constantly shocked at how myopic and self-centered people are when responding to comments like this. There are other ways that this virus impacts us all beyond just transmission. It's not all about you and your "plan"

Not discount your assertion, but wasn't the $20K cost of the hammer due to the material it was made from? Something about having to work in a spark free environment?

Interesting, wasn't that one of the objectives of the F-35? Penetrate (or come close enough) enemy airspace, then orchestrate a squadron of smaller, simpler unmanned aircraft and weapons that are sent in through other means with no par

I'm beginning to think that we should extend Godwin's Law to include Elon. Just about every online conversation nowadays eventually deteriorates into a discussion about how terrible Elon is. Btw, I'm exaggerating, but still.
