Like I said in my other response; it comes down to money. If we took every "what-if" into account, we'd be wasting trillions of dollars each year on hypothetical scenarios. This was the first time the spillway was EVER used

It's easy to say this after the fact, but infrastructure like that has a minimal budget for that sort of stuff. If we did this on every dam in the US, it would potentially amount to a billion dollars or more. At a time when the gover

It's not just flowing over the top of the dam; the water is channeled through an area designed to handle overflow; but the channel is damaged. See pic: http://s4.reutersmedia.net/resources/r/?m=02&d=201702

I'm not sure I'd compare Snap with Twitter. Twitter has essentially flat-lined. Snap has only been monetized for a little over a year now and has at least demonstrated that they're capable of bringing in revenue, based on t

That only works because you're 1 person. If everyone in your town decided to do this your phone would be unusable. We have ~50 users on our unlicensed fixed wireless service and we've been running into numerous signal issues. Wi

How would that solve the symptoms? And why is that the cause? I think the actual issue is that there aren't enough top-talent individuals in the country already; meaning the real cause is actually our broken education system. Opening

I believe the proposed solution to the H1B issue was to simply increase the minimum wage for H1B's to $140k. If a company is bringing over top-talent that is irreplaceable; surely that salary is justified. Otherwise, they probably do

So how much were you paying him? (Last week?) there was an article about someone trying to double the H1B minimum wage to $140k; surely if this physicist is as important as you say he is, you were compensating him around that figure, no?
