Resident is not the same as citizen, which is what OP mentioned. Having "resident" status in a country generally gives you many perks of being a citizen without actually becoming one. Usually things like being able to open a bank

This is the same Washington Post that published an article[0] claiming "Shark Week" is racist, right? Sounds like a political agenda. [0] https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/12/05/shark-w

You know it's not meant to work with 2 items, yet you still try it and then complain. Do you ever see the regular cashiers doing 2 at a time? I don't, because they know it's overall faster to do one at a time quickly. They ne

I was with you until the freestyle machine part, they're awesome. Seriously, what's wrong with them? It doesn't prevent you from getting the regular things. I too, hate the paper straws. They are terrible. The "no straws

I chose Roux specifically so I didn't have to learn a bunch of algorithms. You do obviously have to know a few, but you get to a couple points and while you can use a specific algorithm, you can also basically do the same thing X num

Maybe that's regional? In my area (Minneapolis/St. Paul metro), there are tons of independent dentists and few conglomerates (at least that I know of). In my little-ish suburb (25k people) there are no corporate ones but about 6 i

Oh, it's definitely not "always the republicans", the Democrats also can't figure out their own email addresses. I routinely receive DNC and other left wing nonsense, including invites to parties, Biden fundraisers, etc.

My son died 10 years ago at age 21, my dad died 3 years ago. There's also a couple cats and a dog who have died along the way. I LOVE seeing Google photos rotate in pictures of them in this type of thing. It brings back great memories

The one where the free GSuite accounts, that they discontinued 10 years ago, were now going to be converted and you'd have to pay for them. They didn't "massacre" anything, it was already done a decade ago. https:/

If you are installing a Google OS, you probably already have Chrome. You're already past the "I'm not using Google products" stage. Is having to install some USB flash tool also wonky? Why can't you just drag it ont

I agree with you. It seems funny to me in a lot of these threads about new features that people complain about them, then when somebody recommends program "XYZ" they complain "but there hasn't been any updates in 2 years

I don't use bat as a replacement for cat, but as a replacement for less. Sure, bat can concatenate a file, but I'd say that's not the main use. The syntax coloring of file contents is my favorite use case. Line numbers and so

I have rental properties and it happens about every other year before a renewal. They definitely find things that need fixing. That being said, I've never had it happen on my primary residence (20+ years).

Honestly, I kind of am. I find it ridiculous that people can't tell that something like Airplane! and Blazing Saddles are satires. Needing that much hand holding explains a lot about people today. It's also like how Netflix now ha

Depending on the company, that's not great advice. At my company you cannot take PTO until you accrue it, so if you end the year with 0, then you can't take anything for a while until you accumulate enough time.
