I've been using Go for a while, and am frankly amazed at the quality of the tooling. I'll add something others haven't mentioned... the profiler produces an absolutely amazing graph of the run-time call tree[0]. This makes

Unit testing? I think that, from the computer's point of view, type II errors are correct , in that no errors are generated, no crashes, etc. It's a semantic problem, and so human-generated testing (and, of course, end users :-

I was watching the VAX-11/780 at college get repaired by the DEC tech. She told me of her most difficult case: a randomly crashing 11/780. They checked everything (I believe she said that they eventually replaced every card!) and

The main question for me is, who would have been chosen to fly out? I imagine that the two most senior officers would be chosen, but I have no idea how that would have been decided. Anyone have insight into RAF policies?

So, what applications are iterative Krylov subspace methods good for? Can you give us a sense of where they're useful, and what (in general) inverse methods in this space are?

When you want to learn it, I recommend the "Blue Book", aka "PostScript Language Tutorial and Cookbook" By Adobe Systems Incorporated. It's a very thin book, but a great tutorial and example reference. I enjoyed g

Quick question to those with a deep understanding of these things... I have not been able to get GPU tensor flow (on AWS) to run faster for the networks I'm using. This is with a small(ish) network of perhaps a few hundred nodes... sho

There's a fun iOS game called GlyphQuest that works something like this -- there's a hexagonal grid of elements, and a monster. Connecting enough "like" elements (and, later on, combinations of elements) causes attacks
