That's what I thought too. But then again, if they had the people to get that interface right, why haven't they done so before? The idea is not so far out, they simply don't compromise of ease and simplicity... like all good products.

This guide comes too late for me! When I visited the area while travelling through cali 8 years ago I couldn't find a hint of SV... but Stanford's campus is great.

The one I would want to build even if I can't earn anything with it and could only use it myself. Once that one was determined to be commercially viable.

Interesting. Maybe thats another reason why garage-style startups trump their glamorous colleagues with all the press coverage?

Is this idea inspired by the four hour work week book by any chance?

At least the voters are entitled to choose a government and the government should write the laws themselves. Lobbyists have no constitutional basis.

Work for someone else's startup. That's the best way to learn how it works on the inside.

Actually now that I think about it, given the nature of their readership, the marginal value of the ads should be above the $3 they charge.

Not sure about the decision to charge for the pdf, considering that they're reusing free content.

Isn't the question better posed as was it funded by a government? And how did they choose whom to hire? Maybe the private armies are getting into cyberwarfare...

This reads like a section from a sci-fi novel. Once more reality is catching up with cyberpunk. I'd love to know what it's supposed to do when it reaches its target. Surely the creator would have had to have some sort of blueprints for the

Well, not morally wrong or anything. But you can earn a lot more with the same effort elsewhere. For good science to result, you will usually have to be driven primarily by your passion for the research itself. ymmv

I'd venture the offender is not really in his line of work for the right reasons if he does that. Just shows what's happened to science since it's founders' times.

I'm surprised China managed to pull that off. Given all the intel budgets the US has, you'd think someone would have noticed before 97% were reached...

I've heard about a startup that had to relocate to London after the YC 3 month phase and then wait a substantial time for the INS to work out their papers. That sounds like it could break a company?

I don't know of any direct competition. Digital printing seems to have become cheep enough to make this feasible. I've been thinking about the possibility of a EU clone that produces and especially ships locally, and supports other language

Wow, quite a difference. I paid $13 for shipping, a total of $22 for issue number 1 to come to Germany. Do you receive diplomatic mail or something?

Unfortunately, outside of the U.S. the shipping is a bit expensive. Could we lobby MagCloud to ship from Europe too? And btw. does anyone know of a European MagCloud clone? Seems like a good idea...

To use a regular phone you would have to reverse-engineer a significant part of the (low-level) software, est. cost > $1m Even then you would have to get lucky with the hardware, as it is not designed to sniff all the meta data and pass
