Okay, but using an OS without memory protection to achieve this seems dangerous. What if a buggy program accidentally blows up their work? (do they somehow install version control?)

Keep in mind that this is the VC that said that they should be able to take back the stock of employees that quit. (obviously that doesn't compare to the horrors of Columbus)

1. Dropbox asks for root 2. Dropbox does not use sandboxing (at least, the one I have doesn't) So, they do.

To me, the idea of eating something potentially mercury-toxic like tuna or swordfish when expecting something like salmon is pretty terrifying. I stay far away from those things. That seems unlikely to happen, though. If it's just arct

If you're going to lose them, 3 pairs of AirPods is about the same price as one pair of incredible custom-molded IEMs. They'll also come with a cord, so you won't lose them. (and they won't sound terrible) I'm confu

The point is that anyone that knows what "f/1.8" means knows that a sensor of that size won't perform well. It's a weirdly technical term to include.

Try to run with EarPods and (depending on the size of your ear, perhaps) it will happen. I do use custom UE IEMs so that isn't an issue for me. However, my main concern is accidentally dropping them when removing them - if they fall on

I have an "analog" personal laptop and a "force touch" work laptop. The analog one is _so much better_. I understand that they need to do this for waterproofing, but the real button just feels so much clickier.

Browsers used to just embed OS X's built-in PDF reader, which is excellent and incredibly fast and smooth. At some point, they decided to write their own (in JavaScript, I guess), which scroll and perform terribly.

I work in an office with a dog. I detest it, the dog distracts me constantly with barking and such. I genuinely believe that the dog has a negative financial effect on the company - I'd be much more productive without it, and productiv

Neither of those noisy (distracting) things belong in an office, though. Offices are a place for focus.

Yes, I stack this process by buying grocery shopping during the wash cycle, bring the stuff to my apartment, then go back, transfer to dryer, go home and cook something, then return to pick up. Or, like, read a book, whatever.

I was hoping that we had programmatic access to vibrations in the Contacts framework so that I could make an app to set an override vibration for all of my contacts, then set my default to no vibration, but we don't.

I just want to send all non-contact calls to voicemail, and defer those notifications until the end of the day. The idea that anyone can immediately demand synchronous communication from anyone else is really weird.
