I had the same problem and hated it. What fixed it was clicking "Not Interested" on enough of the posts to where it eventually gave up trying to show stuff like that. I think you're correct about the fact that it figures out

The Borghese gallery is phenomenal. The Bernini sculptures there are one of the few times I've been genuinely moved by something in a museum.

I have debugging in Rider (JetBrains' .NET IDE), what nuance am I missing about the debugger argument? Other than Rider also being a paid product, I guess.

Yep, this is my real problem. Install something that looks cool, then get wrapped up in the day-to-day and never make it muscle memory. Sounds like I should be focusing on "one new workflow thing a week" and make it a daily habit

I've lived in a dense urban environment before, and my personal experience is that I don't get pissed off about noises like trains or ambulances (both of which were a large percentage of the noise). There's just something abo

I agree, I've never quite been able to figure out anything useful over alternatives. Like the usual "send me an SMS when the weather will be rainy" example - I use a highly customizable weather app that gives me more power to

Completely agree. I wish I could forget everything about Obra Dinn so I can go back and play it again for the first time. I also recommend going into it blind, so that early on when the nature of what your character is dealing with is revea

They announced it on April Fools. And it seemed like a joke - 1GB for email? Yeah. Right. Hotmail had, what, 10MB? 15? Best April Fools joke ever.

Yeah, that's the part that gets me too - the lack of consideration. I live near a hospital and have zero problem with the near-constant sirens, but people gunning their loud engines at stoplights will cause me to rage.

That show is truly one of the biggest "happy" surprises of the year for me. I had low expectations watching the first episode or two, but was blown away.

This is great, thanks so much for linking this. Might have to buy a couple of prints.

Yep, I'm assuming the heavily-engineered case is going to cause problems for just trying to plop in whatever I want - even if I can cram it in, I wouldn't want to introduce heat issues that they've designed around. Maybe towa

I completely agree, as someone who was diagnosed at about the same time in my life. It was one of the best and worst days in my life the first time I took medication: best because a mental fog had lifted for the first time ever, worst becau

Wish I had this around to read for inspiration a few months ago. I recently upgraded my PC, and for the first time in 20 years of owning desktop PCs, bought a prebuilt one specifically because of size and aesthetic concerns. I wanted a top-

One thing I enjoyed that blended a hobby with programming-adjacent skills: building a homelab. You can mess around with hosting things on a raspberry pi or go nuts with rackmounted servers, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it. The more in-dep

I've been messing around with raindrop.io recently, and it certainly fixes the "ugly" problem of Pinboard. It does some things you say you don't want - page content scraped and stored - but give it a look. https:/&

Good to see that there are some other competitors looking to emerge. I've had several discussions with my colleagues who can't stand Mint, have used YNAB to life-changing effect, but feel like they've "outgrown" the
