I agree. The first thing I think when I see a version is "how old is this?". Version numbers as they are now are completely arbitrary (nobody really follows semantic versioning no matter how hard they try). Might as well encode so

I noticed this after upgrading my OS and thought something horrible had happened. Turned out to be true but it was intentional by Mozilla. If it's not broke, break it I guess.

I have lost any remaining respect I had for GitHub. The whole point of git is to be decentralized and this is a great example if why that is important.

I don't mind paying for my music but $18 to download one album is absurd. As much as I dislike Amazon I can download DRM free music for a lot cheaper.

Yes, you're an idiot for thinking a project on GitHub is open source. What a lame use of GitHub. Can I get the minute back I wasted reading that readme?

Hard disagree. If you are assigning a value that's the result of an expression you might have somewhat complicated logic. Being able to say what you expect returned is very useful. MyClass myVar = something ? SomeFunction() || so

Can someone help me understand why a library like this is even necessary? Can't you just wrap everything and treat it like a promise? const aPromise = Promise.resolve(1); const notAPromise = 2; Promise.resolve(aPromise).
