Nope. I have 25 years experience and just got an offer to interview at Apple for $55/hour in the bay area. I made $75/hour back in 2001.

Nope. you don't. Don't need jQuery anymore either. Almost everything useful is implemented in native javascript now.

There are lots of SaaS services that will scan your app for vulnerabilities, but they aren't cheap. I think the security distro for Kali Linux has a lot of tools you can use for free.
