Twitter requires users to log in before lurking so their definition of activity is intentionally selective. I'd be surprised if Twitter doesn't know how active their users actually are, even the lurkers.

Given the current semiconductor shortages I don’t think Intel will have any trouble selling chips within the next couple years.

Doesn't seem much different then designating space for landfills and other forms of waste. Sewage treatment plants aren't pleasant but provide great benefit to society.

I manage QBO for a small business and would love to dump QBO as well. I have encountered a lot of bugs that required support to resolve. My other "must-have" integrations are Shopify and Fishbowl Inventory. Xero seems to be the ot

Apple must have been aware of bluetooth data transfer restrictions when designing AirPod Max.. Seems odd that they didn't include onboard storage for lossless songs, or enable lossless support for AirPod Max while tethered to a MacBook

The 2020 AlphaFold team mapped OFR8, a protein associated with COVID-19. It seems unlikely that mapping out everything we currently know of would be the end of their research. COVID-19 is probably not the last deadly pathogen we will encoun

I experienced a black screen on my 2017 MBP. Might be a different issue than the bricking mentioned yesterday. All my apps were still running. Launchpad and mission control functioned but brought me back to the black screen if I tried to la

Right, don't underestimate Samsung - they have top tier fabs and manufacture a lot of chips. If the world has all their eggs in the basket of one company that company is ASML.

When Apple does eventually produce larger than 16GB / 2TB / 2-port Macs I hope they don’t name them MacBook Pro Max. As long as they are called Macs this naming convention seems silly. I’d prefer that we don’t have any Max Macs.

OpenDoor and Virgin Galactic both went public through Chamath’s SPACs. It might be a little early to judge if they are good SPACs, we’ll see how they are performing several years from now.

Non-ionizing electromagnetic waves don't have enough energy to remove electrons from molecules or DNA. So as long as the "soup" consists of waves with longer wavelength than visible light we should be fine.
