I wish that was the case. The number of third party trackers on web shops is sometimes infuriating.

Paper would be the easy part (to destroy). The hard part is electronic data. I work in a large Enterprise, no chance that even a simple email would vanish completely (it's definitely on several backup servers, tapes and whatnot I have

Any good literature how a proper Linux only landscape is maintained? Previously I had an AD domain running (to integrate Win7 machines) via Samba4. When I switched the Win7 machines to Linux, I found usage awkward (performance, strange user

I (as a German) was not. Reading "Deutsche", "Money Laundering" and "Searched" in one line made obviously clear what was meant. In my bubble, this institution is a synonym for organized crime.

That's a good question. On the one hand, probably there would be much being developed which isn't used (like the search engines subsidized by the EU). On the other hand I'd love to see a real OS/Desktop alternative being

Most Linux distribution package managers also draw in dependencies (alas not that much as npm) automatically. You have to trust that all are vetted correctly.

I'd be interested in the failure modes of this, especially when the cooling malfunctions suddenly (or along with a failing temperature sensor).

The system needs to realize that there is a sensor failure. If the Lion Air crash is due to a faulty sensor Boeing needs to answer some serious questions: 1. Why did they not inform operators about changed system behavior? 2. Why wasn'

What would be a good start: Every person, no exception allowed, shown in an ad must be older than 18. Drawn ads must only show adult persons. Offenders are barred from advertizing for a fixed amount of time.

For sure the EU sets at least parts of the immigration law of Ireland. Every EU citizen is free to settle there. Even more, Ireland is a Schengen party, so any visa or legal immigrant of a Schengen member must be accepted to Ireland as well
