Left and right wing definitions are becoming increasingly blurred. The big difference seems to be on exactly what they want to restrict. Neither seem to have personal freedoms or responsibility at the top of their lists and only use these p

A large majority of firearm deaths are gang related and not mass shootings in public schools or otherwise. The cases you point out are statistic outliers.

That's not really the case here either. The headline is very misleading.

I feel like this statement undercuts the value of a good leader. I've worked under both good and bad management, and it's super frustrating and draining when leadership can't focus and prioritize for the best interests of the

It is indirectly though, since the vast majority of the compensation is in the form of stocks.

Their TOS and policies are vague enough to allow selective enforcement, which is a complaint that I've seen many times. Fewer people would take issue with Twitter (and all social media) if they were more transparent.

I've had a pretty opposite experience. The busier I am, the more I have to process, and time feels to pass more slowly. I feel like the first 6 months of my kids life took at least twice that.

Black people have agency. This kind of comment is racist and disgusting and does not belong here.

Nope. I smoked for a few years (quit) knowing full-well the risks. These risks have been well known for at least 30 years now.

It's interesting that you mention hate crimes as if they are proportional to a certain (white) demographic. Statistics state otherwise. https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2019/topic-pages/offenders

See my first comment. There are always people that will take a joke seriously. That doesn't make it any less a joke. The fact that YOU can't distinguish it as a joke merely lends credit to my point.

The flat earthers did it first and did it better. The fact that most people think that the flat earthers are mostly serious makes it a more clever satire. I'm sure many people are ready to point out that there are actually people that

It is incumbent on the communicator to word their point in such a way as to clearly relay their intent. It was my "read" because that's how you worded it.

I bet that is little consolation for non-PoC victims of bad drug policy. Your statements come across as suggesting that the non-PoC experience doesn't matter, since a random PoC has it worse. I hope that it wasn't intentional.

Or perhaps we can just not post pay-walled BS? Someone was generous to post a mirror, and I was reminded WHY I don't pay for "journalistic" content.

Maybe it's not the content but more the fact that it's behind a paywall. It's pretty frustrating actually.

The choice should be up to the consumer, not the EU. We had phones with removable batteries co-exist with phones with non-removable batteries. Most people preferred a slimmer, more attractive device and chose that over a removable battery.

Was it right for Putin to flood the disputed territories with Russian nationals then lay claim to said areas to "protect Russians"?

It's irrelevant in the scope of the discussion. Iraq '03 was wrong, and the current Russian invasion of a democratic country is wrong.

Total false equivalence here. I don't agree with what GW Bush or Obama did in regards to "stabilizing" the region, but this is a totally different situation. Ukraine was absolutely no threat to Russia and this was an unprovok

That might be a partial reason why licensing is required, but if we're being intellectually honest, taxes and fees play a very large part (larger?) in why a society (read: government) enacts licensing laws. Surely safety is a factor, b

I think with the rise of FIAT based currency, you might have a hard time making a case that things are "less equal" than they were 50 years ago. Much of the wealth gap fear comes from a lack of understanding in how wealth is creat

This is my philosophy as well. First off, inflation exists which is one of the factors in creating a "trillionaire" Second, the amount of wealth is not fixed. Someone having more doesn't mean that others have less. I think ma
