I think you're really discounting China. They have the resources, motivation, and the track record to fast track this. They've already landed rovers and have their own space station. They can fail faster than the US can succeed be

It's crazy to me how many comments in here are saying how they don't have time to read. The lack of free time in modern society is the source of so many of our problems. Historically, people had way more leisure and down time. The

Hank Green over on youtube did a fun look back at history and "disruptive" technologies. He likened today's social media to the invention of the printing press. It's a pretty fun video. He calls Martin Luther a troll, wh

It's wild to me how many folks are suggesting Brave, which is a known scam browser which calls itself privacy focused while doing the opposite.

Because Brave is a scam browser that nobody should be using. There are other chromium forks that don't scam you. Brave's history of scumbag actions isn't anything new.

I tend to donate at churches and community centers because the food is more often homemade. Chatting with them old ladies is great. The red cross also has their "rewards" program but it's nonsense stuff like water bottles. I

One of the benefits of blood donation is your blood is screened for a bunch of stuff. I do wish they'd expand the testing a bit. I think a lot of people would donate if it came with a metabolic panel, for example.

As a lifelong donor, 10+ gallons, I don't think we should be paid for blood. It takes just a lil bit of time. Banning payment avoids a ton of issues and overhead. Downside is less people donate, but I don't think $10 would change

The old SSA identity thing was useless. Out of the dozen or so people I know who have tried to use it, not a single person was able to make it work. It was so, so bad.

Without any research I'd wager mental health among teens and young adults is very bad. They don't really have a future. At least not a fun one to look forward to.
